A family run business since 1862 the Ron Bacardi family released Ron BACARDI de Maestros de Ron,Vintage, MMXII. This limited-edition rum has been blended with the finest rums from 20 year-old oak barrels and finished in 60 year-old cognac barrels combining centuries old craftsmanship with perfection. The Ron BACARDI de Maestros de Ron, Vintage, MMXII is presented in hand-blown crystal decanter with its own leather case. This unique rum will be limited to 400 pieces and will be offered for sales at different international airports around the world.

The Suites de la Potiniere in French Alps is voted the most expensive luxury ski hotel in the world
Luxury-Hotels.com have revealed The Suites de la Potiniere the most expensive luxury ski hotel in the world. The resort which is located within the Courchevel resort in French Alps has gained this exclusive bragging rights as a result of the new survey conducted by Luxury-Hotels.com. The results were arrived after considering the average rates for a standard double room for all luxury hotels from a period of January to March 2012. Travelers planning to vacation in The Suites de la Potiniere will be required to shell out $1,958 on an average. Following close on the heels of the "Potiniere" is Austria's Aurelio Lech with a dollar tag of $1,423. Lastly at number three from the neighboring Swiss Alps, is the Carlton Hotel in St.Moritz where the daily average rate came to around $1256.

Louis Vuitton plans the next Maisons boutique in Rome along with a film project in the background
Fashion and movies go hand in hand, and Louis Vuitton seems to understand the fact quite well. This explains their three-year partnership with Italy’s oldest film school, Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (Italian National film school). The move will enable Louis Vuitton’s to cast their magic spell on Italian cinematographers, set designers and costumers. The brand is said to "assist in the formation of an honors committee composed of key figures in cinema; the tutoring of young talents enrolled at the National School of Cinema; the establishment of a scholarship for students with limited means; and the creation of workshops to complement the school’s current curriculum".

Karl Lagerfeld flies high with Chanel's aircraft-themed fashion show
Looks like Karl Lagerfeld wanted to bring back the bygone era of glamorous flying back to the present. He recently hosted Chanel fashion show on a runaway that was designed as an aircraft. As gimmicky as this may sound the fashion show incorporated all the details of an airplane. The audience seating were numbered and resembled seats of an airplane. The entrance at the front was the door to the cockpit and the blue carpeting bore Chanel monogram. The color of choice of course was blue in reference to the blue skies. The collection composed of 60 outfits and each and every outfit had different shades of blue including powder blue, sky blue, warm violet blues, electric blue, royal blue, midnight and navy blue. All in all there were around 150 shades of blue with the embroidery in shades of blue as well. The outfits included day and evening looks from slim drop-waist dresses to casual jeans.

A Gold silk cape made my millions of rare spiders
This magnificent cape believe it or not was made from spider silk. Yes, you read it right, spider silk. After four years of persistent labor from the textile team at Godley & Peers, as well as the 1.2 million spiders, the finished one-of-a-kind cape is finally being displayed at London's Victoria and Albert Museum. The cape is one of two golden spider silk textiles that exist in the world. The laboring Golden Orb spiders are a rare species found in Madagascar and only females were used in the process of harvesting this fabulous, vibrant, naturally yellow silk. Every morning spiders were collected by trained handlers and at the end of the work day they were returned to the wild.

The Ritz Carlton Hotel, Hong Kong that reopened in 2010 as the tallest hotel impressed one and all. It has welcomed the Chinese New Year, the most significant event for the Chinese by unveiling a series of exciting dining, spa and accommodation programmes for guests to rejoice the dawn of the Year of the Dragon with friends and family. This was followed by a one-hour relaxation time when the Lunar New Year fireworks were displayed.
