• Aston Martin DB5 Vantage Convertible fetches $830,000

    Aston-Martin-DB5-Vantage-Convertible.jpg The Aston Martin DB5 did grace James Bond flick, but when it was launched in 1963, on 23 of these 282bhp engine mated to a four-speed/overdrive gearbox beauties were up for grabs. And bringing back the magic of the good old days was the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The auction raised a total of $5,600,720, with the 1965 Aston Martin DB5 Vantage Convertible highlighting the event.

    As the hammer was brought down, the beautiful vehicle fetched around $830,000. Other notable cars to be auctioned include, 1937 Bentley 41/4-Litre Drophead Coupe, a 1999 Mercedes-Benz SLK230, and a 1976 Jensen Interceptor Series III Coupe among others.
