• Batman comic fetches $420,000, beats Superman's 1938 comic record

1939_Batman_Detective_Comics.jpg Remember the 1938 edition of Superman which was also its first issue and was auctioned off for $317,200 last year? It has a new comic successor to snatch its laurels as the highest bid paid for any comic book. The 1939 comic book with the first appearance of Batman’s bidding price has already sky-rocketed to a world’s record $418,250 with two weeks still remaining in a public auction being conducted by Heritage Auctions of Dallas, Texas that ends February 25th, 2010. I wonder who will be joining next in the War of Comics!

    Thanks Donn
