Eighty years old Champagne bottle for $300,000 at Ritz
Champagne is usually drunk as part of celebration, and when celebration is at the Ritz Carlton Moscow it has to be affluence and magnificent. To grace such occasions Ritz is selling 80 years old champagne bottle for $300,000. Two hundred such bottles of champagne matured by the ocean tides and the waves in the dark are being sold at the Ritz. It is known that this 1907 vintage bubbly had been sent to the Russian Royal Family in 1916 from the Heidsieck vineyard; however the ship carrying them sank off the Finnish coast. It was around 10 years back that the wreck was realized when divers found the undamaged bottles which were later bought by the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Moscow.
