Not everyone gets a chance to lie beside their favorite film star. A vault above Marilyn Monroe’s final resting spot in Los Angeles is being offered for auction on Internet auction site eBay with an opening bid of $422,000 . The plate on her vault reads "Marilyn Monroe 1926-1962." Elsie Poncher is putting the vault up for sale in a bid to pay off the $1,407,920 mortgage on her Beverly Hills home. Elsie’s husband Richard who died in 1986 had one last wish to lie upside down over Monroe, which was granted. Elsie Poncher plans to move out the remains of her husband and sell the plot at the Westwood Village Memorial Park cemetery.
The Westwood cemetery is the final resting spot for many Hollywood celebrities, including Natalie Wood and Dean Martin.
