SpongeBob's pale yellow turns gold with Kark Lagerfeld's make over
I don't think SpongeBob was in any need for a make over, but his yellow body has just turned a whole lot more precious. Karl Lagerfeld has turned our yellow friend's figurine into something that's shiny and gold. Personally, I think it looks as bad as someone getting a gold tooth, but it did sell for a highest bid of $1500 at the Paris fundraiser for WWF. It appears that many local personalities pitched in by autographing iconic objects linked to the cartoon character for the auction. This amounted to a total collection of about $11000.
