Brad Pitt turns designer to debut high-end furniture collection

Till now, we knew only two things about Brad Pitt’s personal and professional life. That he loves Angelina and their brood, and he is truly passionate about movies! But Pitt-patrons here’s a third that will put you in Brad-gear. Lo and behold, but Pitt’s making furniture. From tables, chairs, to beds, the actor collaborates with Frank Pollaro, whose firm is known for its fantastic Art Deco furniture designs. The collection that will be launched between November 13 and 15 in New York is not just a bedside thought. Pitt has been harboring this dream for years.

Apparently, he has been “doodling ideas for buildings and furniture since the 1990s.” But it wasn’t until Pitt met Pollaro that he decided to realize this dream. Pollaro chanced upon the actor’s sketchbook and proposed to collaborate on a project. So, what’s in store for you? There’s an Art Deco ocean liner of a bed, dining and cocktail tables, club chairs, and a bathtub in fine Statuario Venato marble. All the furniture will be produced in limited editions, signed by Pitt and Pollaro, and certainly carry hair-raising price tags.
