Oprah celebrates her birthday aboard a Mediterranean cruise with her employees
We all know Oprah Winifrey is generous and when it's her birthday, she's bound to get even more generous than usually. It seems that she celebrated her 55th birthday in Barcelona with 1,700 of her employees and their families. Poble Espanyol is where they were at, it's a trendy and popular tourist attraction with shops, bars and restaurants. Her guests get to spend three days in the city and then they are taken on a 10-day Mediterranean cruise aboard the Norwegian Gem liner sailing to Italy, Turkey, Greece, and Malta. The ship is extremely luxurious and it features 11 bars and lounges, 12 restaurants, pool, hot tubs, a beauty salon, spa, casino, cigar club, library and even a bowling alley. So there's no chance of a dull moment. This is certainly a long and lavish birthday part and Oprah is spending $5,400 per person.
