Editions from Future Perfect 2009 showcased 23k gold dipped glass lamps
The New York Design Week the Future Perfect was the best platform for American designers to showcase one-of-a-kind pieces and limited edition work. Amongst the handful of designers were Lindsey Adelman, Jason Miller, Carlos Salgado of Scrapile and Joel Voisard with the exhibit named Editions. Lindsey Adelman's Knotty Bubble series has an innovative pendant and table/floor lamp made from hand blown glass and this is dipped in 23K gold and it also has hand-dyed ropes. Jason Miller's Wooly Chair is a prehistoric lounger made of bison hide and it gets support from brass legs. Personally I don't like the looks of this caveman chair. Scrapile put forth Deluxe which is a gorgeous table put together with re-purposed wood remnants that designer Carlos Salgado has been collecting for ages. And last but not the least, Joel Voisard's Box Cart which is a rustic looking storage system was the biggest hit.
