• The Illusionator VideoArt 'Ship of the Dead' is a creepy piece of decoration

videoart-ship-of-the-dead.jpg The Illusionator VideoArt "Ship of the Dead" haunted artwork features an old ship painting on actual canvas that suddenly comes to life with a bolt of lightning, giving it an enigmatic appeal. The ship then proceeds to sink right before your eyes as creepy howling souls fly out and flames surround this poor boat. It isn't magic. The concept is simple; these images come to us from an LCD monitor installed behind the painting that includes built in speakers. This morbid scene keeps playing itself in a continuous loop thanks to a small, self-contained media playback unit that offers a brief pause between each simulation.

I reckon, it's fitting for Halloween, but after that your house will just seem like a copy of the Adam's family. I'm sure goths will cherish the 'Ship of the Dead'. But for us normal people, the scene is too morbid. Oh well, at least it might replace Titanic's last scene. That would be worthy of applause. You can buy it for $950.
