Tokujin Yoshioka designs 'Lake of Shimmer' for Swarovski
The Swarovski stand at Baselworld 2009 which happens to be the world's largest watch fair has a gorgeous 'Lake of Shimmer' designed by Tokujin Yoshioka. It features 16,000 octagon shaped mirrors that have been attached to a wall measuring 9 by 8 meters. The angles of these mirrors are controlled by a computer to create patterns. The crystal-like small mirrors flutter in the wind to mimic the effect of sunlight on a lake. It looks beautiful and is a clever design.
