Audemars Piguet celebrates with Openworked Extra-Thin Royal Oak Limited Edition 40th Anniversary timepiece


Audemars Piguet turns 40, and they know how to celebrate in style. The luxury watch brand is out with the Openworked Extra-Thin Royal Oak Limited Edition 40th Anniversary early next year. And since they are aging with grace, this will be the first luxury sports watch from the brand, and being the platinum anniversary edition, only 40 watches will be up for grabs. The 39 mm diameter watch resembles their 1972 Royal Oak. Sporting a platinum case, the watch comes with glareproofed sapphire crystal and caseback and boasts of 50-meters water resistance.

Powered by the iconic Selfwinding Manufacture Calibre 5122 movement, the watch comes with a 40-hour power reserve. The watch sports an Openworked slate-grey dial, with white gold hour markers and Royal Oak hands that feature a luminescent coating. The watch is finished with a 950 platinum bracelet with an AP folding clasp.
