Montblanc Heritage Collection 1912 Limited Edition unveiled to mark 100th anniversary

Montblanc is out with a special set of pens, the Limited Edition Heritage Collection 1912. This first edition pays tribute to the last ten decades, which Montblanc has seen through and presents some of its historical pens with a modern twist. Limited to 333 pieces, the fountain pen sports a new two-step screw mechanism that combines retractable nib movement and the piston-filling function. Crafted using titanium, pens feature a new nib with a triangle-shaped heart hole that has been specially designed for this collection. The pen caps have a floating mother-of-pearl emblem at the top alongside three “slip-on clips” that honor the design movement pertaining to the period.

The “Art Deco Clip” in 925 Sterling Silver pays an ode to the Art Deco movement, the “Snake Clip” in German Silver symbolises change and the “Triangle Clip” in 750 solid gold is a modern take on the classic clip shape dating to the early 20th century. The set is priced at £8,500 ($10,600) and will be available at Montblanc boutiques starting October 2012.
