Samsonite's Black Label by Alexander McQueen is seriously hot and it is featuring a limited edition line this season. I am in two minds about this recent update of the collection. It is stylish in silver and includes the striking ribcage Hero piece (Al1) and the Travel piece (Al2) in crocodile skin design. Here is where my dilemma begins. I love the Hero piece as it looks extremely shiny and sleek, but I cannot look at the Travel piece without cringing. That is just my opinion however and it might have something to do with the fact that I loathe crocodiles. Anyway, the shiny exterior is the result of a new paint technology that is developed with the help of Bayer. The paint is thermoformable and highly resistant to impact, so you know that no matter what happens to the contents of the bag, at least the paint will remain scratch free! But we know that hardiness is a famous characteristic of Samsonite baggage, so we can all rest assured.

The new Samsonite Black Label collection will be available in Samsonite stores worldwide from November 2008. It is extremely glamorous.
