Zagliani and Mauro Orietti-Carella's Botox Bags are hot stuff
I never knew bags needed botox, I thought that was mainly for old hags and celebrities. However, Mauro Orietti-Carella botoxes leather bags. This 44-year-old Milan-born designer started experimenting by injecting silicone (similar to the kind used for breast implants) and a plant resin into leathers like crocodile, python, ostrich and calf before they are crafted into bags. Apparently, the results are phenomenal with leathers that are as supple and soft as cashmere. This has also led to gorgeous glossy finishes that really brings out the colors. Besides this, to add some sparkle his also injected 18k gold dust and silvers, and oxidized the gold- and silver-infused leathers with acid.
This patented procedure of Carella gave Italian brand Zagliani a new life after it faced a serious threat of extinction eight years back. Celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Kylie Minogue and Cindy Crawford can't get enough of the Zagliani bags. You can get the brand's IT bag, The Puffy at the On Pedder boutique at the Takashimaya Shopping Centre in Singapore. It is absolutely stylish and stunning.
