Audio-Technica's hot wooden headphones

audio-technica_headphone.jpg If you are an audiophile, you might want to pay some attention here. Audio-Technica is coming out with headphones that are quite exceptional. The distinctive characteristic about them is that they use wooden housings, instead of cheap plastic. And that in itself adds a sense of class. First, I'll tell you about ATH-EW9 which are clip-on headphones and they are made from Hokkaido cherry wood. You can buy them for a price of $330. Next up are the ATH-ESW9A headphones, which are over ear ones. They provide high-end performance and are from out of African paddock wood. This adds to their looks and is beneficial for acoustic reproduction. Now is the crème de la crème of the collection. ATH-W5000 is stunning with a striped ebony housing. The frequency response is said to be 5Hz to 45 kHz, which is amazing. These headphones come with a hard-shell case and cable bag at a price of $1,700.
