Bang and Olufsen Beolab 3 – a treat to ears as well as eyes

The Latest and the strangest from the house of Bang and Olufsen is Beolab 3. Although BeoLab 3s are certainly pricey, they don’t sell themselves on the fact that they are expensive only. They are undeniable the best! The oddly shaped cube houses three drivers. However, there’s actually only one mid-range driver plus a pair of passive radiators that render more air movement and in turn, improved bass from a smaller unit. Another unique detail is that the tweeter sits at the top of the unit, and shoots into a silver element in the air. Dubbed as Acoustic Lens Technology, it disperses the sound and makes the placement of the speakers less crucial to the overall effect. The system actually is true to ‘practice what you preach’.

Crafted from solid aluminum with rubber bases and measuring 6.4″ x 5.2″ x 8.8″, Beolab 3 comes in black, dark gray, red, or blue finishes. They retail for a whopping $3,200. Sadly my pocket does not permit to buy them but you can go ahead and indulge if your bank balance is over-flowing.
