HiFiMAN HM-801 audio player is all price and no looks
An iPod has become rather run-of-the-mill and every other person owns one. So, in a sea of iPods, if you are looking to stand out, you can try the HiFiMAN HM-801. It isn't the greatest looking portable audio player but it does carry a heavy price tag of $700 or $600 if you pre-order it that surely sets it apart from the more affordable players. It features a high-end amplifier and a Burr-Brown PCM1704U digital-to-analog converter chip which validates the high price, kind of. However, if looks are a concern to you when this is not a good choice with its small screen, boxy design and black color.
It is compatible with AAC, FLAC, WMA Lossless, OGG and WAV files. Memory is on SDHC cards and the battery gives it a life of 6 to 8 hours.
