The very new ioDrive storage device is a thing to marvel at. It is a super fast flash storage device using 80GB of SLC NAND. What this does is give us performance better than any other storage devices we have come across lately and that in it is very impressive. Read speed for the thing is 700 MB/s and write speed is 550 MB/s. The card connects to a system via a PCI Express x4 slot and will work on 64-bit flavors of Windows only.
You can fit the card into x4, x8, or x16 slots, but whatever you do only four lanes will be used. As exciting as this baby is, the cost will make your heart beats race just as much. The 80GB version can be bought for $2,995 and the 320GB version comes for $14,440.
