The 1-inch-thick 54" Z1 plasma from Panasonic (TC-P54Z1) is sleek and sexy. One look at it and you will confirm this. It is said to be the Panasonic's 'most advanced HDTV' so far. It features a native contrast ratio of 40,000:1, THX certification, an awesome color gamut, 24Hz movie playback and a separate box containing a wireless HDMI receiver, so that the wafer thin look is achieved. Of course, it has a large price tag of $6000, but in my opinion, it's totally worth it. Expect this baby to hit the market in June this year.
