The AmpLamp by Futuros comes with powerful embedded speakers

We know lamps give out light, but it seems now that they give out sound too. Interesting concept don't you think? It is called the AmpLamp (the name has such a nice ring to it) and the idea here is that powerful sound equipment has been embedded in the lamp. The heart, an on-board 80 watts amplifier and a strong sub-woofer are embedded in the base; the NXT and Airsound technologies have used the lampshade as resonance body and tiny side-spotted speakers. This creates a really amazing sound.
The Futuros AmpLamp looks pretty good too, at least it looks like something you'd want in your house and not something you cringe at. So get yourself this lamp, throw a party and show off its magnificent sound.
