I'm not an expert on turntables, but I promise you that this one is the king of turntables if there ever was one. It is a general belief in the world of sound that certain arms and cartridges work better with one kind of record than another. So when you have four at your service, you will be ready for anything and everything. This ultimate dream of a DJ was showcased at he Rocky Mountain Audio Fest over the weekend, and was put together by Jeff Catalano who belongs to Highwater Sounds, a New York audio salon. The technical specs say it is built around a TW-Acustic Raven AC turntable with three motors and has arms from Breuer Dynamic, Graham Engineering, Triplanar, and Ortofon, along with cartridges from Dynavector, Ortofon, and Miyabi. Sounds very awesome.
It might just be a tad out of reach for most regular audiophiles however. The total costs of this turntable jump to about $56,000. So if you can, throw a party, buy this baby and hire a DJ for some kickass sound and fun.
