Well, what a surprise I had today! I didn't know the Queen was a fellow gamer, but it seems that games maker THQ seems to believe she is. They also think that the Queen needs a Wii. We aren't talking about just any ordinary Wii though, this one is a blinged up, gold plated affair. THQ sent this shiny gold Nintendo Wii to Her Majesty and it is obviously a publicity stunt. Their latest game BIG Family will be releasing soon and this golden act ensures that they are in the limelight. Danielle Robinson at THQ said, "BIG Family Games is the ultimate Wii game to get all family members, from grandparents to young children, playing together. The Royal Family is arguably the most important family in the country so we felt that they had to have a copy of the new game."

Along with this, the Royal family can use the Wii to play play 24 unique twists on classic family games including golf, tennis, ladder golf, lawn darts, horseshoes, bocce and more. Yes, I'm sure that's going to happen. I can just picture the Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry along with their pets crowding around the TV for a go at the gold Wiimote.
