The Winston drink by Joel Heffernan is set to become the world’s most expensive cocktail

Cocktails and dreams often go together. And award winning mixologist and bartender at Melbourne’s Crown’s Club 23, Joel Heffernan is all set to concoct the world’s most expensive cocktail in an attempt to create a Guiness world record. Currently Salvatore’s Legacy created in London by mixologist Salvatore Calabrese, holds this honor. Heffernan’s liquid gold cocktail required 16 hours of labor and is made of two nips of Cognac Croizet 1858 Cuvee Leonie cognac, which was recently sold at an auction for $151,000.

Called The Winston, this cognac-based drink has an extremely steep $12,500 price tag. Only time will tell whether Joel Heffernan of Crown’s Club 23 will be successful or not.
