Hermès has a Special Orders workshop that caters to the custom requests of its high profile customers. This is an extremely exclusive service. Recently, Eric Clapton called upon Hermès to make a case to hold his Martin 00028 EC acoustic guitar, the rock star's signature model that he helped to design. The exterior is made from one of the best available matte finish crocodile skin. The other materials used include poplar wood from Nazareth, Pennsylvania and blue silk velvet. It is a unique, one-of-a-kind case and rumor has it that Clapton shelled out about $100,000 at least for it.
