Classic Russian Wooden Clocks sell for $20,000 per piece

russian_wooden_clocks.jpg The Russian wooden clocks of the 19th century have been brilliant time pieces and they showcase Russia's heritage. However, for the longest time they were forgotten, but we'd like to talk about their long lost glory. The Bronnikov family from Russia has been mastering their skills on crafting light-weight fully functional wooden pocket clocks for three generations now. We can say that they truly are experts as their clocks were a big hit back then and their regular customers were Russian Tzars and other high society members. People from Paris and New York stared in awe at these beautiful works of craftsmanship when they saw them at international exhibitions. The prices of gold paled in comparison to what these wooden clocks cost. Unfortunately, many of these clocks were destroyed during the Russian revolution and communist reign. Those that did manage to survive have made their way to antique shops and usually set you back by $20,000 each.
