• Bahrain Hotels are to Ban Sale of Alcohol

    Bahrain, a predominantly an Islamic country has decided to ban the sale of alcohol in hotels and restaurants that are located in residential areas, near mosques and schools within the next six months, Gulf Daily News reported. There is circular to this effect, that has been issued by the Information Ministry's Tourism Affairs department. The hotel industry is shaken by this news, however the experts believe that this order will apply to three-star hotels and below. Some hoteliers fear that this order will force them out of business. So if you are the sorts who likes to unwind with a glass of amber, be sure to carry your own supplies the next time around.
