Marriot to erect a co-branded 67-Story hotel on Broadway, New York

Well, Broadway is just getting ready to add more landmarks to its already iconic location. Located at 1717 Broadway would soon be a twin pack of hotels from Marriott, courtesy of developer Harry Gross and his Granite Broadway Development team. Over a decade in planning, the 10,000-square-foot lot is said to contain a 67-story tower which will stand 716-foot tall, created by architect Nobutaka Ashihara, making it one of the tallest hotel structures in town. The hotel tower, dual-branded by Residence Inn and Courtyard by Marriott, is in the plans for a Broadway and 54th Street site near New York City’s Central Park.

As per Ashihara’s floor plans, the plot will house two independent hotels that will be distinct in characteristics and severs and “Vertically stacked.” The Courtyard Inn would occupy floors 7 to 31, with 14 rooms per floor. The 30 stories atop will be home to Residence Inn, featuring 9 rooms per floor. The hotel will also have on offer a two-in-one combo for long term stays.
