• Rejuvenate your senses with the TCM spa system, introduced in China’s Inter Continental

InterContinental_china.jpg A visit to China can make you experience a bit of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and enjoy two Signature TCM spa treatments at the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in Greater China. The treatments were created by Eu Yan Sang, inspired by the basic TCM principles of Yin and Yang - complementary opposites within a greater whole, creating a dynamic balance of all things. Both treatments can be exclusively found at a variety of Intercontinental Hotels in China.

The relaxing Yin ritual contains fragrances like geranium, lotus and peppermint. A body scrub is enhanced with herbs like wolfberry bark, coix seed, ampelopsis and sea salt. The Yang ritual is designed mainly to energize. It starts with an exfoliation with energizing herbs like garden balsam stem, mulberry twig, acorus rhizome and clove. To complete the invigorate experience, a tea that includes red ginseng root, licorice root and dried ginger and patchouli helps rejuvenate the system is served.
