SkyCity Casino throws open opulent suites for high-rolling gamblers


If gambling is your poison, and you are good and lucky at it, then forget Vegas, SkyCity casino in Auckland is the place to be! The casino has now through open are its high-luxury suites to high flying gamblers by invitation-only. The suites are as plush as can be, thanks to the “Swarovski Crystal doorknobs, Italian chandeliers, a Ralph Lauren table lamp, solid oak table, touch panel lighting, and drinks, fruits, and even flowers tailored to your specific needs” Gamblers who are lucky to be put up in the suite will be driven up in a limousine from the Auckland Airport to SkyCity and directed to a private lift that leads to the “eighth-floor suites.”

The first section to open in its $30 million Horizon development venture is the south wing that houses three gaming salons, four suites, along many standard rooms. The north wing will be ready by September when Auckland will cater to the Rugby World Cup, which will see many gamblers trying their luck. On average, the casino earns $4 million a day, expecting to double its profits to $35 million in the next year.
