Those of you who have succumbed to the charms of Rajasthan will agree with the poll that has declared the Oberoi Udaivilas Hotel, the best hotel in the world. With an overall score of 94.36 in the celebrated Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards 2007 readers' survey, this palace turned hotel won the favor of the most seasoned travelers. The hotel set in India’s desert state of Rajasthan is famous for its rustic charm married with modern facilities. The hotel group Oberoi has bagged the 10th best hotel in the world with Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra and 11th spot with Oberoi Rajvilas, Jaipur.

The survey for the Best Hotels in the World was based on an online questionnaire that was available for subscribers of Travel + Leisure for the first quarter of the year. The editors of Travel + Leisure in association with Harris Interactive developed the questionnaire.
