Handsome reward of $200,000 for stolen Chagall, Rivera paintings
Wow, if the reward offered for the stolen paintings is $200,000 US, then I wonder as to how many millions of dollars worth these twelve paintings actually are. These valuable paintings by Marc Chagall, Diego Rivera and other masters were stolen from a home of an elderly couple in California's San Fernando Valley. The couple was unaware of the intruder as one of them is bedridden, while the other was fast asleep. The thief entered the house through a service door and took the paintings from the walls of two adjacent rooms. However the police informed that it would be difficult for thieves to sell the works without proof of their authenticity.
