Rare 28-carat emerald-cut white diamond is estimated to fetch over $1 million

We’re always delighted to see rare dazzling diamonds that haven’t seen the light of day in centuries and even more so if it is a 28-carat white diamond such as this beautiful piece featured above. The diamond, sculpted into an “emerald” cut which is considered as a rare shape used for unusually clear stones, is going to feature in Sunday’s auction at the Sutton Place Hotel in Toronto for $1 million. Kashif Khan, Managing director for Ritchies Auctioneers stated that the stone is likely to go to an international dealer or collector and there is a possibility that the gleaming rock may not be seen again, for most stones of such high value are generally kept under lock and key. So take a good look at this beauty if you happen to get by at the auction.
