I know people go a little crazy over their pets, but this is a little too much. Seriously, who in their right mind would spend $384,000 on a kennel for their Great Danes? Yes, that's what it is. A kennel, no matter how expensive! It is being built on an exclusive estate near Cirencester in Gloucestershire. It sounds ultra fabulous as inside the dogs will sleep on sheepskin-lined, temperature-controlled beds and soothe their aches in an 18in-deep spa. Also, there is an expensive sound system and a 52-inch plasma TV. I wonder what bands dogs listen to and what their favorite TV shows are. Along with this there are automatic dispensers that make sure there is a supply of filtered water and dry doggy food. The two dogs are so spoilt that they have their own rooms with a view of their private playground. There are cameras installed to keep a check on the activities of these pooches. As a security measure to stop other dogs from getting in, there will be a retina scanner at the front door. The plans for this doghouse have been approved and the work will begin in spring. This is being done for a female surgeon who opts to remain nameless.
The kennel will be about a quarter of the size of the £1.4million main three-bedroom 'Hedron House'. Andy Ramus, a famous architect is going to head the project. I don't know if the dogs will appreciate this much, my dog rarely ever uses his kennel. Of course, that might be because it doesn't have all this extra amenities.
