• Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry's widow Majel leaves behind $4million for her dogs

    4milliondog.jpgNews of people leaving behind their fortunes to their beloved pets just doesn’t surprise me anymore. And the latest pooches to get a hefty sum from their late owner are none other than Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry's widow Majel’s dogs. Before her death in 2008, the dog loving Majel set up a $4 million residential trust to care for her dogs. But it is not just her pets that will be entitled to this fortune. Majel has appreciated her domestic help, Reinelda Estupinian who looked after her beloved dogs by leaving her a hefty sum of $1million as well as the right to live in the mansion with the dogs. Reinelda did an excellent job of looking after the animals and gave them better treatment than even Majel could provide, claimed the late Majel.

    Now the dogs and their loving care taker can all look forward to a luxurious lifetime, courtesy the generous Majel. This lovely gesture has shown that kindness does pay (and in Reinelda’s case, kindness has paid her in kind).
