Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Beach Golf Club plans a luxury clubhouse


The gulf has seen its fair share of luxury golf clubs. What will you do if you lose your golf ball at Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Beach Golf Club? You could go hunting for it, or else enjoy yourself at the 18,000 sq m clubhouse, the plans to which will be unveiled this week! A stunning addition to the golf club planned by 80-year-old Frank Gehry has been designed by one of the greatest golfers of all time, Gary Player.

The club house, designed keeping in mind the Estidama regulations for sustainable development, is touted to be complete by 2013 and will feature a boutique hotel with 26 deluxe rooms, two restaurants, a spa and a pro-shop. Once complete, the island can boast of another luxury monument apart from nine five-star hotels along the beach and one-third of the golf course looking over white sands and waters of the gulf.
