• Airbus A380 'Flying Palace' is touched by Midas

airbus_380.jpg For those born with a silver spoon, it isn’t taxing to be proud owners of high-end cars or even jets. But what about those born with only gold all around them? Such is the case of Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud. Paying about £160 million ($320 million) for the plane and another £90 ($180) million on luxurious customization wasn’t enough for this chap. He wanted some thing more lavish and unique. I hope that after ordering the plane to be painted in gold leaf on the outside at a cost of £30 ($60) million will bring him some gratification.

Although which company has been chosen by the prince to refurbish his jet has not been revealed, it is reported that he has commissioned a concern in Hamburg, where Airbus Germany has its headquarters.
