Audi seems to have gotten into a university-level partnership with the Joanneum University of Applied Science, Graz. The result is the 1:15 scale mode Daysailer that has been designed by Markus Klug. This student got his inspiration from his passion for sailing with the Audi MedCup, a regatta series in the Mediterranean for TP52 yachts. You can see the influence of this baby on his design. Currently, the Audi yacht is just a prototype and measures no more than a foot long. However, if it hits production, it will be 15 feet long, with a mast of 21 meters high and a draught of between 1.5 and 2.5 meters. Sail over for more images after the jump......

"I wanted my design to be clear and direct, but also luxurious and sport," explained Markus Klug. "It has to captivate the onlooker at first glance, in precisely the same way that the cars do", he said. It certainly is captivating.
