Austal 102 Trimaran - Big, beautiful boat for the blue waters
You must have seen a variety of boats but none could be as beautiful as the Austal 102 Trimaran. Don’t wonder if it disappears while you looking at it, since it moves at a speed of 39knots. The average size of this boat is around 102 feet. It has been 18 weeks since the construction of this boat has begun. The big Austal 102 Trimaran can carry as many as 1165 passengers, 245 cars and 190 lane meters for trucks. The vessel has the highest helicopter deck of any US warship. The Austal 102 has a 630 nautical mile range. Though it is quite small in comparison to the other US Navy vessels, the Austal 102 will sail smoothly even in the toughest of seas. Due to launch in October this year, the US Navy wants 55 of these vessels in the future.
