Fiat 500 by Gucci to roll into US next month


Here’s some fashionably fantastic news. We read about the wonderful Fiat 500 designed by the fascinating Gucci that went on display at the Geneva Motor Show. Now, it’s set to cross overseas to the US of A when it takes the ramp at the New York Fashion Week to be held from September 8 to 15. The special edition models Fiat 500 and 500 Cabrio have been customized by Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini alongside Fiat’s Centro Stile. The move comes in time to celebrate Gucci’s 90th anniversary. The models come in black and white and feature the red and green stripes of the Gucci logo on its exterior. It also features chrome cursive Gucci signatures on the door frames and hatchback.

The interiors come in chic embroidery, exclusive materials, glossy and satin chromes, and two-toned seats in Frau leather with the Guccissima print. Other features include a six-speed automatic transmission with driver-selectable gear changes, BLUE&ME hands-free communication technology with USB port, eco: Drive Application and iPod control capability, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, Bose Energy Efficient Series audio system with six premium speakers and subwoofer, power sunroof, automatic climate control, and reconfigurable Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) with trip computer.
What takes the icing however is the exclusive 500 by Gucci collection which will also include – travel accessories, leather goods, drivers, tracksuits, bombers, driver gloves, sunglasses and a watch.
