Hennessey Venom GT super car concept gets you hooked on
Exhibiting more venomous images of its upcoming Venom GT supercar, Hennessey is geared up to spread more poison in the auto world. This beast gets its might from a twin-turbo version of the Dodge Viper's 8.4L V10 engine rated at 1,000 horsepower and is expected to mate with either a six-speed manual or sequential gearbox. This 1,225kg mid-engine chassis will provide the proper means of distributing the horsepower into speed at a power/weight ratio of just 1.225kg per hp. Hennessey claims will see the car reach 100km/h from rest in just 2.5 seconds and up to 300km/h in around 14 seconds. The Venom GT will be a much more engaging sports car to drive by challenging the driver with 1000+ HP in a chassis that is nearly 1500 lbs lighter than the Veyron.
You can expect to see concept version of the Venom GT in 2009 with a production version following shortly after.
