Jaguar celebrates 75th anniversary with a unique tour

The famed British marque, Jaguar, celebrated its 75th anniversary yesterday. To celebrate its 75 successful years, Jaguar organized for a group of 75 individually-numbered, iconic Jaguars from across the years to embark on a two-day journey from Coventry to Goodwood. The special journey took the cars through places that have become significant in Jaguar’s history, like London’s May Fair hotel, which was the site of the original Jaguar model launch in 1935. The tour ended at UK’s largest heritage motor festival, the Goodwood Revival, on Saturday 18th. Many of the cars that embarked on this journey were privately owned examples driven by their owners. Others were from Jaguar’s own heritage collection like the E-Type, C-Type, pre-war SS Jaguar saloons, and a selection of its latest models. The day was also marked by the launch of many limited-edition models like the U.S.-specific 2011 Jaguar XKR175 and the return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race.
