Leonardo DiCaprio to own the first Fisker Karma EV speedster
He hasn’t done a Transformers or a Mission Impossible but our on screen sweetheart Leonardo is an admirer of roadsters especially when they ‘alternate energy-propelled’. The actor, who is serious about his green ideas, becomes the first customer of the Fisker Karma, a luxury four-seater extended-range EV when he will get his keys on July 21. The car is a production of Fisker Automotive, a California-based company by Henrik Fisker. Leonardo will be the first of 3,000 orders that the company boasts for its production. The car features two electric motors and a 260 HP gas engine. Its 20kWh lithium-ion battery gives it a range of about 50 miles and a top speed of 153kph. The price of a Karma is around $100,000 and is reportedly sold up until next year.
