Roman Abramovich equips yacht with anti-paparazzi shield

Celebrities have forever been complaining about paparazzi invading their privacy, especially when they are on holiday. Well, the Russian oligarch, Roman Abramovich, has decided to do something about it instead of just complaining. The billionaire has actually come up with a unique solution to protect his privacy. Abramovich has installed an anti-paparazzi shield on his newest vessel, the world’s biggest and most expensive private yacht – Eclipse. The hi-tech system integrated into the Eclipse relies on lasers to block any digital camera lenses nearby. When the system detects such a device, it fires a focused beam of light at the camera, disrupting its ability to record a digital image. The beams can also be activated manually by security guards if they spot a photographer loitering. Abramovich, 42, has been making regular trips to Hamburg to oversee construction of the Eclipse yacht and has demanded modifications that have doubled this yacht’s cost.

The oligarch is expected to take delivery of his new toy on December 22. The paparazzi will have to come up with new ways to snap this billionaire as he sails joyfully in the Eclipse.
