Tesla to come out with a luxury $60,000 sedan in 2010
The Tesla Brand of luxury electric vehicles has been in the limelight recently and for good reason. The company has announced a state-of-the-art US$250 assembly facility in Silicon Valley. This facility is being set up to produce new US$60,000 five-passenger luxury sedan with superior performance and an amazing lithium-ion battery pack that delivers 40 miles per charge. It is a four seater and the first batch of cars from this plant will be around 15,000 sedans – up to 30,000. Don't worry if you aren't American, because half of the cars will be sold in Europe. Model S is not up for deposits yet, but there is no doubt in any one's mind that the car will be a huge success. However, don't expect to get behind the steering wheel of Model S till 2010. I'm sure it will be worth the wait.
Besides this, Tesla has started up the production of the Roadster. So till their other baby is out, check out the Roadster as deposits on this are being accepted. The Roadster is a zero-emission, all-electric two-seater for sale now in the United States and Europe. Sounds very environment friendly, doesn't it?
