• The TriceROFLcopter: Hybrid evolution

TriceROFLcopter.jpg I’d always wondered how the amalgam of the wild, prehistoric mammal, Triceratops and a helicopter would turn out to be. To my surprise, renowned and controversial artist Patricia Renick had already envisaged the fusion years before me. An army spec OH-6 Cayuse helicopter was sculpted in clay and then covered in fiberglass after which it was given the name TriceROFLcopter. It was created in 1977 for her solo exhibition held at the Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center and it was aptly named “Triceracopter: Hope for the Obsolescence of War”

After all these years, it has been put up for public consumption either by a ‘qualified museum, institution or individual’ I’m sure there will be lots of buyers bidding to buy this evil piece of art.
