Harrods offers the world’s most expensive coffee

Most people I know are addicted to that morning cup of coffee. Be it with milk, cream, sugar, or just plain black; it never goes out of demand. But some people like their coffee to be opulent too.so if your hunt for the perfect rich coffee hasn’t yielded positive results yet, then the world’s best coffee, the Terra Nera, can be your courtesy Harrods. Originating from Quechua in the southeast of the Peruvian Andes, these coffee cherries are excreted by civet palm cats and after which they are dried to be processed. The 100 percent Arabica, the Uchunari coffee, has bitter cocoa, hazelnut, and dry leather.

Around 45 kgs of coffee are made every year, making it very exclusive indeed. Sold on pre-order, the freshly roasted coffee (available in six grades) is delivered in a Kraft paper pouch with an in-built freshness valve, with a complimentary coffee machine offered on orders weighing over 500g. Grade 0 coffee, Terra Nera comes in “solid Britannia sterling silver and 24-carat gold-plated sacks“, handcrafted and engraved by silversmith Rebecca H. Joselyn. The coffee is priced between £140 and £6,800 ($225 – $11,000).
