34 stunning time pieces to be auctioned for charity
Only Watch is an extraordinary charity auction which is held every two years in Monaco during the Monaco Yacht Show under the patronage of HSH Prince Albert II. This year, for the auction, 34 high watchmaking brands are each making a unique piece. All the proceeds from Only Watch go to support research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The next Only Watch auction, organized by Patrizzi & Co, will take place at 18h:00 on 24 September 2009 during the Monaco Yacht show. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a seriously debilitating genetic disorder that affects one in every 3,500 boys.
The disease is characterized by a weakening of the muscles, respiratory and cardiac problems which can become fatal as the child gets older.
