Hermès Arceau Time Suspended watch is the world’s first complication that suspends time

Black leather straps have a raw, elegant feature to their beauty. Hermès Arceau comes with a feature called Time Suspended (Le Temps Suspendu), where ‘its owner can forget the present time thanks to an ingenious system of cams, pinions, and segments.’ It has a module developed in cooperation with Agenhor, Geneva, and its founder Jean-Marc Wiederrecht. The watch can alternate automatically between real and suspended time, coordinated by two synchronized column wheels – one for hours and one for minutes and date. The watch is a limited edition of just 174 pieces in rose gold. It comes with 254 parts, including 45 jewels, circular-grained, snailed bridges, and oscillating weight adorned with Côtes de Genève motif. A couple of dials – an opaline silvered dial with a herringbone motif for a rose gold or steel model and a black dial with a herringbone motif for a steel model. The straps are Matte Havana or black alligator and feature a folding safety clasp in rose gold or steel.
