The inner zone has a silvered, finely hand-guilloché “Clous de Paris” or hobnail motif. The outer zone is decked with a vertical satin-brushed finish, also silvered. The minute circle, the power-reserve display as well as the inscriptions Vacheron Constantin Genève and Swiss Made are all transferred, while the seconds subdial at 6 o’clock is circular satin-brushed. Lastly, the minute-circle and power-reserve zones are screen-printed in white. The beautiful dial is protected by a glare proofed cambered sapphire crystal. The timepiece is available in two versions, 18-carat white gold or 5N pink gold. The moon phase display of this exquisite timepiece consists of a disc with a galvanized base and a moon face. The nine hour-markers, two Roman numerals and a Maltese cross ensure user-friendly readability.
The timepiece is powered by a manual-winding 1410 caliber movement which has been developed and manufactured by Vacheron Constatin. In addition to hour and minute hands, Caliber 1410 drives a precision moon-phase display which will not require any setting for more than 100 years. This 22-jewel manual-winding movement oscillates at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The exquisite Malte model is water resistant up to 30meters and has a power reserve of 40 hours. The rose gold version has a chestnut brown strap while the pink gold version has a black leather strap. Both the versions have a gold folding clasp matching the case color.
An exquisite timepiece, the Vacheron Constantin's Malte Moon Phase and Power Reserve in white gold is priced at $34, 500 while the pink gold version is priced at $31,050.
